Abstract

This is a science lesson for students in grade three and four on the water cycle. Through this lesson students will be able to give an accurate and detailed description of the water cycle including the process that accompany it (evaporation, condensation, and precipitation). Students will understand that water changes into different forms of matter throughout the water cycle and that it is a closed system. Students will also understand the importance of the water cycle to the planet and weather. This lesson spans over eleven days and is tiered by ability where students work in a group to create a PowerPoint presentation on the knowledge they have acquired.
