Prospective Members

In order to become a member of Pace Law Review, you must apply by participating in Pace’s Unified Law Review Writing Competition and be selected at the end of your first year. Pace Law Review requires a two-year commitment. The first year is spent as an Associate Member, while second year is spent as either an Officer or Senior Member. You will earn 1 course credit as an Associate Member, and may receive 2 credits per semester if elected to be an Officer during your second year.

The following is a list of rules governing qualification for Pace Law Review adapted from the Pace Law Review Bylaws:

The Students of Pace Law School may become Associates of the Review by participating in the Writing Competition:

a) Invitation by Class Standing.

b) Invitation by Writing Competition

Those students who have completed their first year shall be eligible to compete in the Unified Law Review Writing Competition, provided that they are ranked in the top 40% of their class at the end of their first year. Those students who have completed their first year as evening students and are accelerating (expect graduation in three and one-half years or less) may compete in the writing competition at the end of their first year as evening students. Invitations to accelerating students may be distributed at the end of the summer, provided that the student has completed twenty-eight credits of coursework and has maintained the requisite class standing.

c) Summer Writing Competition

Note:

Invitation to join the Pace Law Review is based on a combination of GPA, class rank, and performance in the Writing Competition. There is no guarantee that any candidates will be selected based upon the writing competition.
