Abstract
Due to an unprecedented amount of mergers and acquisitions of companies within the media industry, the publishing business has changed dramatically throughout the last thirty years. Media companies of all types and sizes were merged into a limited amount of extremely large, diverse corporations, which held ownership over numerous media outlets (including television, film, newspapers, magazines, and book publishers).
